Inpatient Palliative Care RN

Job Summary:# Provides palliative care services to patients and family members. Assesses, plans, documents, implements, delivers and evaluates program services to meet the needs of patients and families. Participates in discharge planning, the multidisciplinary treatment process and quality improvement initiatives. Participates in Palliative Research either by being the primary investigator or as part of the research team. Possesses exemplary verbal and written communication skills. Proficient with computer and MS office software. Qualifications:# Current RN license to practice in NC (NC license or multi-state (compact) license) and graduate from an accredited school of nursing. Bachelor#s degree in nursing preferred. Must maintain BCLS certification, A minimum of three years clinical experience in an acute care setting. Utilizes good clinical judgment and skill in the nursing management of clients with chronic or acute illness.# Must attain Hospice and Palliative Nurse Certification within 2 years of hire date.# EOE AA M/F/Vet/Disability
