We\u2019ve been working hard at Vivian to improve the job search<\/a> experience, and we recognize sometimes it\u2019s the small things that matter! We receive a lot of awesome feedback from candidates on the site and have made some changes that will enhance your job search. The new features will help users be able to search more specific criteria, expand on their job search preferences, and keep up with trends in employment in the healthcare industry.<\/span><\/p>\n

New Search Filters<\/h3>\n

You asked and we heard you! There is now a filter named \u2018Shift Breakdown\u2019 to search by how many hours per week the contract is. For example, if it\u2019s four 12-hour shifts or 48 hours, it will be listed as \u20184\u2019x12\u2019, 36 hours is shown as 3×12, etc. This is helpful for nurses who want to limit their hours and for those who are seeking to get that OT cash!<\/span><\/p>\n

We also have a \u2018duration\u2019 filter that allows candidates to search by length of the travel contract. The options in that filter include 4 weeks, 8 weeks, 13 weeks, and anything in between that may be available!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Both of these filters can be found on the web and app on the \u2018Browse Jobs\u2019 page.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

How to Request Time Off for Travel Contracts<\/h3>\n

Another feature we added in response to candidate feedback is the ability to note any pre-planned time off requests in your \u2018job search preferences\u2019 for all travel jobs. If you click into the travel contract preferences section of your profile, there is a check box at the bottom of the next screen that reads \u201cI need to request pre-planned time off\u2019. Checking that will open a free text box where you can note when and why you will need certain dates off. This feature is also found on the app and web versions of Vivian.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dedicated Location Pages and Staff Jobs<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Looking for a new permanent job? With decreasing travel rates and the potential waning of the COVID-19 pandemic, some nurses are starting to reconsider staff roles. We have partnered with facilities in multiple regions of the US- and we are only growing! Our new Locations page<\/a> highlights facilities in specific areas that are offering some sweet deals for nurses to come on as staff!<\/span><\/p>\n

Salary Tool<\/b><\/h3>\n

This feature has been a part of our site for some time, but I like to point it out to candidates who don’t know it exists. The Vivian Salary Tool<\/a> allows healthcare professionals to compare offers against “average” salary rates in an area for any given specialty. This can provide negotiating power, or reinforce a \u2018fair\u2019 offer for a provider. Nurses can also use this tool to check out salaries of other specialties if they are considering changing their roles.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Employer and Travel Nurse Agency Reviews<\/b><\/h3>\n

We want even <\/span>more<\/b> feedback from healthcare workers, and we\u2019ve created a safe space for it. With our healthcare employer review page<\/a>, any healthcare professional can leave feedback about a specific agency, facility, or system. This can be done anonymously to encourage professionals to be candid and honest about their experiences. We want to hear it all,\u00a0 all forms of feedback are welcome. We do not share candidate information with any of the agencies or sites if you check the box to remain anonymous.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
