Job Summary We are searching for an Advanced Respiratory Care Practitioner - someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this role, you'll administer a variety of respiratory care procedures in a developmentally/age appropriate manner for patients ranging from neonates to adults. Think you've got what it takes? Responsibilities * Performs patient care and related activities according to policy and/or guidelines in compliance with MD order to provide optimal patient outcome * Documents patient-related activities according to policy/guidelines in a legible manner * Documents patient information in patient's medical record to include the Patient flowsheet, Plan of Care and Teaching Record, Progress Notes, in electronic system * Facilitates good communication with Physician, Nursing, and other members of the healthcare team to coordinate optimal patient care * Perform medical record review to ensure physician's orders for respiratory care are current, signed off appropriately, coincide with therapy delivered and are optimal for patient outcome * Provides instruction to patients and families * Provides orientation/reinforcement to respiratory care modalities pertaining to their disease process * Maintains and evaluates respiratory care equipment by completing appropriate paperwork according to the departmental guidelines/policy Qualifications Being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 is required for all employees at Texas Children's, unless approved for a medical or religious exemption. * High school diploma or equivalent required * Currently enrolled in an accredited respiratory care program or have a temporary license to practice respiratory care required * BLS certification from the American Heart Association required Company Profile "Since 1954, Texas Children's has been leading the charge in patient care, education and research to accelerate health care for children and women around the world.
