CNA Novice Training Program, Baptist Health South Florida, Full Time
Baptist Health South Florida is hiring CNAs with no previous acute care setting experience. The C.N.A Novice program is designed to help Novice C.N.A's prepare to work in a hospital setting. After acceptance to the program the Novice C.N.A. begins a four week paid training course. The first week includes didactic and simulation for the acute care setting. With a focus on critical thinking and emergency response. Weeks two, three, and four the Novice C.N.A is paired up with an experience C.N.A preceptor on their assigned unit of hire to complete their training. The CP faculty and team conduct collaborative support meeting to ensure successful transition on the unit for the Novice CP. Training length- Four Weeks High School Diploma or GED required. FL CNA License or eligible to test for FL CNA license (must obtain prior to start of program) Current American Heart Association BLS certification for healthcare providers. Must have less than 6 months of CNA experience in an acute care setting.
