Registered Nurse (RN) - Call Center Nurse - Medical Center (Part-Time)


Job Summary We are searching for a Call Center Nurse-someone who provides quality nursing care to patients by assessing, implementing, and evaluating age appropriate follow up care in amanner that incorporates family centered principals and cost effective care. This position is responsible for assisting with auditing Emergency Center (EC) data files related to level and procedural charges, codes, and quality outcome metrics. The position requires interaction with members of EC staff, leadership, and participating providers. Think you've got what it takes? Responsibilities * Documents EC Call in Patient (CIP) information from referring Physician. * Conducts follow-up phone calls too parent/guardian whose child left without being seen(LWOS). * Reviews and audits EC charts for appropriate assignment of level and procedural charges andcodes, and for various quality outcome metrics. * Demonstrates commitment to team, flexibility, professional interpersonal, communication,critical thinking, and customer service skills. * Accountable for maintaining professional development of self and participates in developmentof others. * Participates in achieving hospital/ unit goals. Qualifications Being fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including any booster dose(s) of the COVID-19 vaccine recommended by the Centers for Disease Control when eligible, is required for all employees at Texas Children's, unless approved for a medical or religious exemption * Bachelor's Degree in nursing Or Associates Degree in nursing with acceptance or current enrollment in a BSN program and signed agreement Or Technical diploma in nursing with acceptance or current enrollment in a BSN program and signed agreement Or Must be currently enrolled in a nursing bridge program working toward an MSN. * Verified BSN-equivalency or a signed agreement is required. * Current licensure with the Board of Nursing for the State of Texas is required * Current BLS from the American Heart Association is required * (1) year of professional nursing experience Company Profile Since 1954, Texas Children's has been leading the charge in patient care, education and research to accelerate health care for children and women around the world.
