Oncology Nurse Navigator - TGH Main Hospital


Responsible for the coordination of patient care across the continuum of Radiation oncologic care for all patients. Educates/provides information, supports patients, and facilitates treatment plans. Functions as a patient advocate, guides patients and families throughout cancer care and survivorship experience. These functions are performed in accordance all applicable laws, regulations, and ISCI's philosophy, policies, procedures and standards. Position requires a high level of advocacy and problem-solving ability. Ability to multitask and organize advocacy and support for a large and varied group of cancer patients and their families. Knowledge of community resources helpful. Works closely with physicians and marketing department to develop marketing ideas and materials to promote Radiation Therapy Program. Provides community education and outreach. Must have a Bachelors in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited School of Nursing with licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse by the State of Florida. Three years of oncology nursing experience required. Demonstrated history as a highly self-motivated and results oriented professional; excellent oral, written and presentation skills; excellent interpersonal skills; the ability to plan, direct, implement, and evaluate simultaneous projects; strong organizational skills; and the ability to work at a fast pace and respond in a timely manner to numerous requests is required. Oncology Nurse Certification is preferred.

Pay
