CT Lead Technologist, Full Time - Days, MHP: C.T. Scan - Pembroke Pines, FL


  


Summary:
Leads team members for assigned areas or function by demonstrating and providing advanced knowledge of job responsibilities. Provides oversight and coordination of workflow.

 

Detailed responsibilities:
• Monitors technologist performance and provides input as needed for performance evaluations, especially in the areas of productivity and image quality. Provides guidance, feedback and instruction to coworkers as necessary.
• Serves as a positive role model by working with team members to promote teamwork, cooperation and excellent customer service.
• Prioritizing assignments and workflow by performing and delegating tasks as necessary to maintain efficient and safe patient care.
• Performs Technologist - CT job responsibilities. Takes responsibility for, or provides guidance to team members on the handling of complex or novel issues. Problem solves as needed. Is able to remain calm in a high paced department during stressful situations. Takes on call shifts as needed.
• Assists with equipment quality control testing, maintenance and troubleshooting. Participates and contributes to performance improvement efforts as needed.
• Collaborates with all nursing units to provide a CT Scan service that meets or exceeds their expectations.

• LEADING BY COACHING: Knowledge of coaching approaches, tools, and techniques that improve individual performance and foster development.

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program.

 

Other information:
Complexity of Work: Requires critical thinking skills, effective communication skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. May require specialized knowledge of a business line.

Required Work Experience: Three (3) years of CT Scan experience.

Computed Tomography specialization: (R.T.) (R) (CT) (ARRT) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists •• Florida Radiation Licensure is also required
