Technologist, CST Sterile Processing - Tulsa, OK

Job Summary: Performs basic decontamination of medical equipment, surgical instruments, miscellaneous supplies, prepares items for processing, sterilizing and patient use, and facilitating the basic functions of the department. Under direct supervision of a registered nurse, performs the duties of a second assistant in surgical procedures.

Education: Graduate of CAAHEP accredited Surgical Technology Program.

Licensure, Registration and/or Certification: Certified through the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA). CPR Certification.

Work Experience: 0 - 6 months related experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Basic working knowledge of a computer. Effective interpersonal, written and oral communication skills. Basic knowledge of aseptic technique. Ability to prepare and maintain a sterile field. Basic knowledge of surgical instrumentation.
