All departments are not created equally, floating to different areas. Some are better than others some areas I would rate a 10 which is the best grade management great teamwork, safe environment, other areas of the hospital are not work friendly management is not seen. There is no teamwork or people are getting downgraded in front of fellow staff members positions, physicians, nurse’s, housekeeping, physical, therapist, respiratory therapist, etc. All areas and units of the hospital or not created equally.

As a 480-bed tertiary care center equipped to provide comprehensive medical and surgical care, the hospital’s areas of clinical excellence include heart and vascular care, surgical services, rehabilitation services, neurosciences, maternity care and – as home to the only state-accredited Level Two Adult Trauma Center in the St. Petersburg region – emergency services and trauma care.

The hospital has a 38-bed neurosciences unit with a dedicated neurology team consisting of board-certified neuroscience specialists and physicians with subspecialty expertise in stroke, epilepsy and Parkinson’s disease, and includes a Level IV Epilepsy Center. In partnership with Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital, Bayfront Health St. Petersburg Baby Place offers full obstetrical services and is a Level III Regional Perinatal Intensive Care Center, one of only 12 in Florida. The hospital also is home to the Bayfront Health St. Petersburg James Heart Center (which includes a cardiac cath lab and sleep medicine center), an on-site inpatient rehabilitation unit, and a nearby wound care & hyperbaric center. Home healthcare services are also offered in partnership with LHC Group, as well as urgent care through a partnership with CareSpot, now part of FastMed.

As a Level II Trauma Center, the only trauma center in Pinellas County, the hospital cares for more than 2,500 trauma patients a year. In addition to our hospital emergency, trauma and critical care expertise, the freestanding Bayfront Health St. Petersburg Emergency Room located in Pinellas Park offers convenient access to complete emergency care with board-certified emergency physicians and registered nurses, and a full range of emergency diagnostic and treatment resources, including on-site imaging and laboratory services.

As an academic medical center, Bayfront Health St. Petersburg trains the physicians of the future and offers graduate physician programs in family medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, and sports medicine. As such, we are committed to staying on the forefront of medical research and technology.
