WCS Healthcare is currently seeking an experienced  Emergency Room Registered Nurse  for a contract assignment at a highly respected hospital in  Auburn, NY. This role is ideal for a clinically strong RN who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and is confident caring for patients experiencing life‑threatening conditions.

Job Function:

• Shift: 36 hrs | 3x12 Nights | 7p-7:30a EOW.
• Manage the care of adult and/or pediatric patients with critical, life‑threatening conditions requiring rapid assessment and high‑intensity interventions.
• Provide emotional support, education, and clear communication to patients and families during emergency situations.
• Collaborate closely with physicians and the interdisciplinary team, recognizing when early intervention is needed.
• Prepare patients for surgery, imaging, and diagnostic procedures.
• Perform essential emergency procedures including IV insertion, medication administration, blood draws, and airway support (intubation  assistance).
• Maintain  accurate  and  timely  documentation in the EMR.

Job Requirements:

• Active state RN license (NY or Compact)
• Minimum 1.5 years of nursing experience required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience required
• Previous travel ER experience preferred
• Strong critical care and high-acuity ED experience required
• BLS – Required
• ACLS – Required
• PALS – Required
• NIHSS – Required
