WCS Healthcare is currently seeking an experienced  Operating  Room Registered Nurse  for a contract assignment at a highly respected hospital in  Geneva, NY. This role is ideal for an OR nurse who thrives in a fast‑paced surgical environment and is committed to delivering safe, high‑quality perioperative care.

Job Function:

• Shift: 36 hrs | 4x9 Days.
• Document all patient care accurately, completely, and promptly in the facility EMR.
• Prepare the  operating  room for procedures and  assist  with room turnover.
• Assist  with patient positioning and ensure comfort and safety throughout the procedure.
• Handle and label specimens according to policy.
• Maintain strict adherence to aseptic technique and infection‑control standards.
• Identify  and  initiate  corrective actions when necessary.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and OR staff to ensure efficient workflow.

Job Requirements:

• Active New York State RN License required
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room experience required
• OR circulator experience required
• Certifications required through AHA or RQI:
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • PALS
  • NIHSS / Stroke Certification
