Local Contract Nurse RN - Oncology

WCS Healthcare is currently seeking an experienced Oncology Registered Nurse for a contract assignment at a highly respected hospital in Hyannis, MA. This role is ideal for an RN with strong  oncology skills, chemotherapy experience, and the ability to coordinate complex ambulatory patient care

Job Function:

• Shift: 5x8 Nights.
• Administer chemotherapy, therapeutic treatments, blood transfusions, and perform phlebotomy.
• Provide and coordinate patient care in an ambulatory  oncology settingAssess, diagnose, plan, and intervene in actual or potential health problems.
• Evaluate patient responses to treatment and adjust care plans accordingly.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment plans, symptom management, and health maintenance.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure cohesive care.
• Support unit operations including patient flow, assignments, ordering, and medical record preparation.

Job Requirements:

• Active RN license in Massachusetts
• BLS certification required
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred)
• Successful completion of pharmacology exam prior to start
• Experience in oncology nursing preferred
• Strong communication skills and ability to educate patients and families
• Ability to work with terminally ill patients and provide compassionate care
