Minimum Requirements

• Valid and unrestricted Physical Therapist license for Texas required to start the assignment.
• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
• Experience working in skilled nursing facility or long-term care settings preferred.
• New graduates welcome; recent clinical experience and strong interpersonal and communication skills preferred.
• Ability to perform thorough evaluations, develop and implement individualized treatment plans, and maintain accurate documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience collaborating with interdisciplinary teams in post-acute or skilled nursing environments.
• Familiarity with common therapeutic modalities used in geriatric or long-term care populations.
• Proven ability to educate patients and families on home exercise programs and discharge plans.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 8-hour day shift.

Impacting Patient Care

Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical abilities and limitations. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans using a variety of therapeutic techniques and modalities. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists to optimize patient outcomes. Educate patients and families on rehabilitation goals and home exercise programs. Monitor progress and adjust interventions. Maintain accurate, timely documentation and adhere to regulatory requirements.
