Join a traveling Physical Therapist role in Elizabeth City, NC at an outpatient facility where you will help patients recover from injuries and manage chronic conditions while experiencing life in a new location. The assignment requires clinical evaluation, individualized treatment planning, documentation, and collaboration with the care team. You will participate in professional development and uphold regulatory and organizational standards.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
• Active North Carolina physical therapy license is required to start the assignment.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in outpatient physical therapy.
• Current BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
• Experience completing comprehensive evaluations, developing treatment plans, goal writing, and documenting using facility-approved formats.
• Familiarity with functional treatment programs and safe patient handling techniques.
• Ability to supervise and provide direction for discipline-specific therapy services and participate in student education when assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in outpatient clinic settings with orthopedic, post-operative, or musculoskeletal patient populations.
• Prior experience using electronic medical record systems and completing letters of medical necessity and charge entry.
• Participation in performance improvement initiatives or formal professional development planning.

Assignment Details

• Schedule: 40 hours per week; MWF 7:00 AM–4:00 PM; TR 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.
• Position requires providing direct patient care, documentation, and coordination under valid physician orders and insurance approvals as applicable.
• May be expected to work within clinic safety programs including safe patient handling and infection control protocols.
