Description

A highly respected health organization in the beautiful Anchorage, AK area is seeking an experienced PACU Registered Nurse (RN) for a fast-paced Post Anesthesia Unit (PACU) permanent position. This is a 0.9 FTE (36 hours/week) benefits-eligible position with relocation and sign-on.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
PACU Nurse will assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate patients' care for the Post Anesthesia Unit
Develop, update, and coordinate the patient's plan of care to achieve patient goals and to optimize outcomes and transitions across the care continuum
Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate
Perform and maintain currency of essential competencies as required by specific area of hire and populations served
Engage in ongoing professional development; promote a culture of inquiry that explores, integrates and disseminates research and evidence-based practices

REQUIREMENTS:
At least 1 year (12 months) of relevant Nursing experience, in a similar environment with similar type patients/cases
Nursing degree/diploma
Willing to obtain BSN within 3 years of hire (Nurses with 20+ years of experience exempt)
RN license unencumbered - ability to obtain AK Registered Nurse license upon hire, or have RN Compact license
Active BLS and ACLS certifications
Obtain PALS within 6 months of hire
