Description

Emergency Room - ER - Registered Nurse - RN

A Level - 1 Trauma Medical Center within the greater Boston area is seeking an experienced and compassionate Adult Emergency Room RN.

Responsibilities:
The ideal registered nurse - Adult ER possesses the analytical ability to solve any and all clinical nursing issues and conduct quality improvement research utilization projects.
Must exhibit organizational skills in setting priorities and efficiently completing assigned work in addition to delegating appropriate patient care activities.

Basic computer proficiency inclusive of ability to access, enters, and interpret computerized data/information.

Effective interpersonal skills to facilitate communication with various members of the health care team, patients, and families.

Physical ability to meet the core job responsibilities in accordance with practice setting demands for the patient populations regularly served.

Multilingual skills (beyond that of English) in languages appropriate to the patient populations served by the medical center preferred.

Ability to effectively manage stress due to critical issues related to patient care, changing organizational climate, and personnel issues.

Requirements:
Associates Degree in Nursing (ASN) OR BSN, preferred. Candidates who do not have BSN, must enroll in BSN program within 6 months of hire and complete BSN within 36 months.
Current RN License within the state of MA or the ability to obtain prior to hire.
BLS Certification
At least 1-year of ED experience
