Description

Opportunity:

RN - ICU Adult

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Self-scheduling with scheduler's right to rebalance the schedule
• 3 weekend shifts required every 4 weeks
• Holiday requirements work with core staff rotation
• Must have Level 1 trauma experience
• 2 years ICU experience required in 600+ bed teaching facility
• Must pass dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance (2 attempts allowed)
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Pass/fail SIMs Lab on day 1 of orientation for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes
• Must maintain sterile field competency
• Float among all ICU areas and MedSurg/Tele units
• May float to additional campus locations
• Required to read and interpret own telemetry strips
• Navy scrub color required
• Must have natural hair color and no facial piercings
• Men must be clean-shaven for fit test
• Must have own vehicle for travel
• Work with ventilators (Cervo I, Jets, Oscillators), titratable drips, and various bedside procedures
• Unit consists of SICU/MICU/Trauma ICU with 120 total beds
• 2 shifts unit-specific orientation
• Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
