RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - CVICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 4 total weekend shifts required per 4 weeks
• Holiday coverage based on unit needs
• Patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:2 with high number of 1:1 assignments
• Float to other ICUs and telemetry units as needed with 4:1 ratios on telemetry
• May be required to float to Westgate campus when requested
• Level I trauma experience required
• Must pass dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance (2 attempts allowed)
• Pass/fail SIMs lab on day 1 for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes
• Level 2 experience will be considered
• ICU experience with cardiac patient care required (CVICU experience preferred)
• Must have strong IV skills as no IV team available
• Care for cardiac surgery recovery, IABP, CRRT, lung transplant, thoracic, ECMO patients
• Handle high acuity patients with bedside procedures including bronchs, Swan-Ganz, epidurals
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (CCRN preferred)
• Must have natural hair color and no facial piercings
• Men must be clean shaven for fit testing
• Navy scrub color required
• Work with Cerner EMR system and Phillips telemetry
• 2-day floor-specific orientation provided

The unit features modern equipment and technology with 24/7 respiratory therapy and pharmacy services, intensivist coverage, and specialized programs for cardiac surgery recovery and advanced life support procedures.
