RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Observation Unit

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM or 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Schedule includes 3x12 hour days with every other weekend requirement (set rotation of weekends 1&3 or 2&4)
• Rotational holiday schedule with core staff
• Work on 3 Pavilion/3T - Pulmonary & observation unit with 32 beds
• Maintain 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with respiratory diagnoses and medical conditions including trach patients (not ventilated)
• Previous travel experience required
• Med-Surg/Telemetry/Critical Care experience with trach care required; Peritoneal Dialysis preferred
• Must be comfortable titrating drips including Heparin, Cardizem, Lasix, Dopamine, and Amiodarone
• Review telemetry strips each shift alongside monitor techs and charge nurses
• May be cross-trained and asked to fill charge nurse role with modified patient assignment
• Float to 4P, 5P Med-Surg units or Emergency Department for boarded patients when not needed on assigned unit
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS
• Navy scrubs required - must be solid color with no embroidery or patterns
• Closed-toe shoes only, no Crocs permitted
• Use EPIC charting system
• Complete two 12-hour orientation shifts with preceptor and abbreviated skills checklist due within 90 days
