RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care across all phases of the surgical experience including pre-operative, intraoperative, and post-anesthesia recovery
• Serve as circulator, scrub nurse, and PACU nurse with opportunities to cross-train and expand clinical skill set
• Participate in on-call rotation requiring one night per week and every fourth weekend
• Must respond and be ready to begin a case within 30 minutes when on call
• Deliver perioperative nursing care across all surgical phases including pre-op preparation, intraoperative care, and PACU recovery
• Ensure patient safety and clinical excellence through adherence to AORN standards, accurate documentation, and participation in surgical safety processes such as time-outs
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary team to deliver coordinated, high-quality patient care
• Minimum of two years of perioperative experience required
• Current Vermont or multi-state RN license required
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing required
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and critical thinking skills needed
• Travelers will start on Wednesdays
• During orientation week, travelers on 48 hour contract will only be guaranteed 36 hours due to midweek start
