RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work in Medical Surgical/Remote Telemetry unit with 33 beds and average daily census of 28
• Patient ratio of 1:5-6 for days, nights, and weekends
• Care for adult to geriatric patients with diagnoses including diabetes, med/surg, post-op, wound vacs, and bariatrics
• Minimum 1 year of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
• Charge experience preferred
• BLS certification required
• Epic charting system experience required (also use Pyxis and SBAR)
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Work every other weekend unless specified elsewhere
• Floating required within facility/scope of practice as needed
• No call requirements
• Holiday work required: if 1-2 major holidays fall during assignment period, work all; if 3 major holidays fall during assignment, work 2
• Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
• Maximum 7 days RTO per contract with blackout dates during Spring Break (April 4th-12th)
• Skills include blood product administration, chest tubes, colostomy/ileostomy management, feeding tube care, HFNC, ABG interpretation, IV insulin protocols, telemetry monitoring, wound care/wound vac, and more
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Georgia or Compact nursing license required
• Full compliance required to start on time

This healthcare facility operates a 33-bed Medical Surgical/Remote Telemetry unit that provides comprehensive care for adult and geriatric patients. The facility maintains modern equipment including Diligent lift equipment, Spectra Link phones, space labs in every room, and various support services. The unit features strong interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and social services, ensuring comprehensive patient care with a patient experience representative available five days per week.
