RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work in a fast-paced pre/post interventional radiology department at a Level 1 Trauma center
• Day/Evening/Night rotating shift schedule with floating requirements
• Holiday and weekend coverage required
• On-call and callback responsibilities
• Charge nurse duties per unit needs
• Provide care for inpatient and outpatient populations across the lifespan
• Responsible for pre-procedural patient preparation and post-procedural recovery care
• Provide overnight observation care and 23-hour care for IR patients
• Care for patients boarding overnight pre or post procedure
• Work within a multidisciplinary team environment
• Provide care for patients undergoing CT scans, MRIs, Nuclear Medicine scans, X-rays, and ultrasounds
• 2 years registered IR nursing experience required
• Telemetry experience required
• Medical/Surgical experience preferred
• GI post-procedural care experience preferred but not required
• New York RN license required (ONLY)
• BLS certification required (American Heart Association ONLY)
• ACLS certification required (American Heart Association ONLY)
• Strong communication skills and critical thinking abilities essential
• Must be team-oriented, enthusiastic, flexible, and organized
