RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work on A7 West Med Surg telemetry unit with 18 beds
• Patient ratio is 6:1 with goal for charge nurse to be out of staffing to assist
• Every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule required
• Medical/surgical nursing experience and telemetry experience required
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• BLS certification required
• Float to other medical surgical units and ED holding medical/surgical patients
• Travelers float before permanent staff
• Work with equipment including Baxter IV pumps, wound vacs, SCDS, prima-fits, primo-fits
• Use Cerner Powerchart EMR system
• Perform typical procedures including peripheral IV starts, dressing changes, and other standard medical surgical skills
• Dress code: all navy, all white, or white top and navy pants with navy or white undershirts if needed
• Must be a team player with positive attitude who helps others without being asked
