Night Shift

Bestica is looking for a Travel Registered Nurse for Rapid City, SD. This facility is a teaching hospital. Travelers must be willing to teach if needed.

Requirements:

Candidate will be placed into the Medical department with floating assignments between Medical and ONS and intermediate care if necessary. Also, must float to the surge capacity COVID areas as needed.

The Medical Department is a 32-bed inpatient medical/surgical/intermediate unit facilitating exceptional interdisciplinary, fast-paced care to patients admitted for a wide range of acute and chronic disease processes.
The unit combines a level of medical/surgical cases and intermediate care patients that can include cellulitis, influenza, UTIs, pneumonia, COPD, CHF, renal failure with or without the need for hemodialysis, hepatic failure, gastrointestinal disorders and infections, soft tissue injury and minor fractures, and DVTs.
Administer a variety of oral, IV, IM, and SQ medications, vasoactive drips, TPN/tube feeding, and blood product transfusions. We manage peripheral IV, midline, PICC and central line access, chest tubes, nasogastric tubes, drains, and urinary and fecal collection devices. Provide preventative and restorative skin and wound care. We also have telemetry monitoring.
The combination of skills and interventions performed on this unit, allow for lots of variety and professional growth.
Teaching facility so traveler would be expected to be in a teaching role if needed.
Patient ratio is 4:1- 5:1.
Must Be Currently Active State License
Minimum 2 Years of Experience
EMR Used: EPIC
