American Traveler is offering a traveling RN Intensive Care Unit assignment in Reno NV
Job Duties: Intensive Care Unit RNCritical care nurses specialize in treating critically ill patients in general intensive care units, post-op units, burn units, and other specialized, intensive care units. Most critical care travel positions are in hospitals, but CC RNs can choose from many different subspecialties including Cardiovascular ICU, Surgical ICU, Medical ICU, Burn ICU, and Neuro ICU, among others. Some rehabilitation facilities also use critical care nurses because of their skills with ventilators and tracheostomy tubes. An important function of critical care nurses is to provide education and support to patients and their families. A non-profit teaching hospital in Reno, Nevada, this facility is the flagship hospital in its group and the region's primary level II trauma center. This large metro facility has a NICU and a PICU unit and has been rated as 'high performing' in colon cancer surgery.
Essential Qualifications- All Registered Nurse candidates must have or be able to obtain a valid professional license within the state of practice
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
- Valid BLS through the American Heart Association
- Specialty-related certifications are preferred and may be required for specific travel positions.
- RN positions require at least one year experience in a like setting.
