Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring at least 1 year of experience, working night shifts on a 12-week contract.
Details
- Hospital Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call responsibilities
- Floating within the facility and scope of practice as needed
- 12-week contract length
Requirements
- Active GA RN license or Compact RN license required
- Minimum 1 year of PCU or comparable nursing experience required
- All applicable certifications must be current and available for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates are accepted for this position
- RTO is capped at 7 days and may not be requested during the first week of the assignment
- If one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers are expected to work those holidays with no RTO allowed on holiday dates; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers are expected to work two of them
- Major holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
- No alternate shift or schedule change requests are permitted — the posted night shift is firm
- Travelers must have been away from all facilities within this health system for a minimum of 1 full year before returning as a traveler
- Full compliance with onboarding requirements is required to start on time; delays may result in a 2-week pushback due to a bi-weekly orientation schedule
