Description

American Traveler is seeking a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) with 2+ years of experience for a day shift travel assignment at a 25-bed Level 3 Emergency and Trauma Center in Mountain View, MO.

Details

• Respiratory Therapy unit at a 25-bed Level 3 Emergency and Trauma Center
• Patients with conditions affecting the cardiopulmonary system
• Day shift, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (3x12 schedule)
• Weekend hours as needed
• On-call availability required as needed
• EMR: Epic
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience, with at least 1 year of recent experience in the specialty
• Graduate of a COARC/AARC/NBRC-approved Respiratory Therapy program
• Active Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license from the Missouri Board of Respiratory Care (license required if applicable)
• Registered through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
• Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NRP, CRT, and PEARS (American Heart Association)
• Valid U.S. Social Security Number required; Canadian SINs are not accepted
• No gaps in employment of 90+ days within the past 12 months
• Ability to stand or walk for the majority of the shift and work varying schedules

Additional Information

• Assists physicians in treating patients with cardiopulmonary conditions and serves as an advanced resource person for other staff
• Functions within the scope of respiratory care per Missouri Board of Respiratory Care guidelines
• Black scrubs required; unapproved t-shirts and yoga pants are not permitted
• Flu vaccination required for assignments running November 1 – April 1; exemptions must be client-approved
• Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are considered local and subject to a reduced bill rate
• Local candidates are limited to 3 consecutive 13-week contracts; after completion, a 1-year separation or transfer to a facility outside the 50-mile radius is required
• Up to 5 days of requested time off (RTO) is allowed but must be made up during the assignment
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment unless documentation of a scheduled renewal is provided
• The facility is a nationally recognized health system, accredited by the Joint Commission since 1962 and recognized for cardiology care and patient satisfaction
