Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel Occupational Therapist with 2+ years of experience for an inpatient rehabilitation and acute care setting in Hilo, Hawaii, requiring an active HI state license by start date.
Details
- Inpatient rehabilitation and acute rehab unit in a hospital setting
- Coverage across both inpatient and outpatient rehab settings
- Patient population includes adults requiring occupational therapy evaluation and treatment
- Day shift, Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
- EMR systems used include Net Health Therapy and Meditech
- 26-week contract
Requirements
- Active Hawaii OT license required by start of assignment; license must be applied for upon acceptance if not already held (license required if applicable)
- Minimum 2 years of OT experience working with adults in both outpatient and acute care settings
- BLS/BCLS certification from the American Red Cross required
- Ability to work Hawaii State and Federal Holidays as needed based on hospital operations
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include evaluating and re-evaluating assigned patients in inpatient and outpatient settings, planning and implementing individualized therapeutic programs as prescribed by the ordering physician
- Clinician must independently manage a full caseload, regularly update treatment plans and home exercise programs, and determine when re-evaluations are appropriate based on insurance authorization
- All travelers must report to Employee Health 48–72 hours prior to their assignment start date; this appointment takes place at the Hilo Employee Health office and is mandatory
- Travelers should plan to arrive in Hawaii the Thursday before a Monday start date in order to attend the Employee Health appointment on the preceding Friday
