Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with 2+ years of experience and Epic proficiency for a 13-week cardiac cath lab assignment.
Details
- Cardiac Cath Lab setting within an acute care hospital
- Day shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited Radiology Technology, Respiratory Therapy, Cardiovascular Technology, or Paramedic program
- Minimum of 2 years of RN, Radiology Technology, Respiratory Therapy, Paramedic, or Critical Care/ED nursing experience
- Cardiac specialty experience preferred
- Active BLS (ARC or AHA Healthcare Provider) required
- One of the following credentials required: ARRT, RRT (licensed by NCRCB and credentialed by NBRC), NC EMT-P credentialing, or graduation from an accredited Cardiovascular Technology program (RCIS certification required within 3 months of hire)
- Epic experience required
- License required if applicable
- Must provide 2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years
- Copy of driver's license required for consideration
Additional Information
- Assess patient medical history and current condition to prepare patients for cardiac catheterization procedures
- Prepare specialized equipment and monitor patients throughout procedures to ensure safety and optimal outcomes
- Collaborate with physicians and technicians to support smooth and successful procedure execution
- Provide patient education and support before, during, and after cath lab procedures
- All candidates must pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam during compliance, with two attempts allowed — candidates should prepare in advance as study materials are not provided by the facility
- Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
- Zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
