Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN with strong neuro background for a night shift travel assignment at a Level 2 Trauma, Magnet-designated acute care hospital in California.

Details

• Acute care Magnet-designated hospital with 377 staffed beds
• ICU unit with 12 overflow beds serving a high-acuity patient population
• Patient population includes cardiovascular, multi-trauma, gunshot wounds, stroke, STEMI, MVAs, and orthopedic cases
• Facility is a Level 2 Trauma Center, Thrombectomy-Capable Stroke Center, and STEMI receiving center
• Advanced procedures and conditions managed include CABG, valve surgery, IABP, CRRT, and sepsis
• Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:00
• Floating required between PCU and ICU overflow
• No on-call or weekend requirements
• Charting via Epic (experience required)
• Free parking available
• Local candidates are accepted

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required — pending licenses are not accepted
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and LA County Fire Card
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Strong neuro experience required
• Epic EMR proficiency required
• First-time travelers are not eligible for this position

Additional Information

• Scrubs may be any color
• Any requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at the time of consideration — post-offer RTO requests may be denied
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
• All travelers may be expected to float between facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in assignment termination
• Two supervisory references covering at least 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty are required
• SSN and DOB are required for consideration
