Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Tele position at a Level II Trauma Center within a major academic health system, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and telemetry competency.

Details

• Short-term acute care hospital with 426 staffed beds, part of the Yale New Haven Health System
• Med/Surg Telemetry unit caring for general medical/surgical patients requiring telemetry monitoring
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required as needed
• Charting via Epic
• Free parking available on site

Requirements

• Active RN license — Connecticut (CT) or Compact license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Telemetry (Tele) certification required
• Must pass an EKG/Tele exam prior to starting the assignment
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Level II Trauma Center or equivalent acute care hospital experience required
• Candidates must not have any prior disciplinary actions or priors on their nursing license
• 1 professional reference required for consideration

Additional Information

• Flu vaccine is required; declinations are not accepted
• COVID vaccine and booster required; religious or medical exemptions are accepted
• Candidates who were previously employed as permanent staff must have been separated for at least 2 years to be eligible
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for this position
• Up to 7 days of RTO may be approved by the facility during the assignment
• Travelers are expected to participate in natural disaster or emergency response activities as needed
