Description
American Traveler is seeking a Sonographer with vascular and general ultrasound experience, RVT accreditation, and flexibility across shifts including weekends and call for an acute care hospital assignment.
Details
- Acute care hospital ultrasound unit
- General ultrasound with vascular cases; both vascular and general experience required
- 10-hour shifts with flexibility across all shifts, including 2nd shift and weekends
- Weekend call rotation shared among 6 sonographers — Saturday 9:30 PM–7:00 AM and Sunday 9:30 PM–6:00 AM, with flexibility to trade weekends
- Weekday call rotation (Monday–Thursday 10:00 PM–6:00 AM; Friday 10:00 PM–7:00 AM) for those not scheduled on weekends
- EMR: Expanse - hCare
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Sonographer
- Graduation from a CAAHEP-accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program
- ARDMS certification required, including registration in at least one specialty (AB, OB/GYN, PS, or RVT)
- RVT accreditation required
- ARRT certification in Radiology required
- Current BLS (AHA) required
- Vascular and general ultrasound experience required
- Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible
- Valid, unexpired driver's license required for consideration
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- Perform general and vascular ultrasound examinations across a variety of patient cases
- Participates in an on-call rotation shared across the sonography team, with flexibility to trade weekend call shifts
- CCI certification is accepted but not preferred
- Any background hits must be disclosed at time of consideration
