Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN - Labor & Delivery for a night shift travel contract at an acute care hospital in Sylva, NC, requiring at least 1 year of L&D experience and fetal monitoring competency.

Details

• Labor and Delivery unit within an 86-bed acute care hospital
• 5-bed L&D unit on the 3rd floor serving adult and neonatal patients
• Patient ratios of 1:2 or 1:1 depending on acuity
• Common cases include labor, delivery, and pregnancy-related diagnoses
• Required competencies include fetal heart rate tracing interpretation, labor medications/process knowledge, and cervical exams
• EHR: Paragon (experience required)
• Night shift: 7p–7a
• 36 hours per week with rotating weekend coverage
• No on-call or float requirements

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required
• Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher required
• Minimum 1 year of L&D experience required
• Required AHA certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Fetal Monitoring
• Proficiency in reading fetal heart rate tracings, labor medications, and cervical exams
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Coverage position for a leave of absence
• Candidates must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates who are employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible
• Any scrub color is acceptable
• Orientation dates are scheduled bi-monthly throughout the year
