Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Cardiac Telemetry position requiring a TX or compact RN license, BLS and NIHSS certifications, and at least 1-2 years of experience.
Details
- Work on a 36-bed private room Cardiac Telemetry unit (5 North) in a hospital setting
- Patient population ranges from young adults through geriatric patients requiring medical-level cardiac care
- Priority admissions include post-cardiac surgery, coronary artery stent placement, pacemaker implant, and hemodynamically stable non-procedural cardiac patients
- Patient ratio of 1:5-6
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:00
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active TX or compact RN license required
- Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum 1-2 years of RN experience required
- Travel nursing experience preferred
- Epic EMR experience preferred
Additional Information
- Travel pairs or groups are not accepted for this position
- Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible
- Candidates residing in the following TX counties are not eligible: Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, and Morris
- Former permanent staff must have been separated for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler
- RTO is limited to no more than 3 days and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
- Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years are required for consideration
- Check position details regarding first-time traveler eligibility
