Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT/Rad Tech Dual Modality for a high-volume CT Scan department at a Level IV Trauma teaching hospital, requiring at least 1 year of experience and ARRT (R)(CT) certification.
Details
- CT Scan department within a 182-bed Level IV Trauma designated teaching hospital that also serves as a Chest Pain Center and Stroke Center
- Serves a high-volume setting with approximately 325 patients per day across modalities
- Patient population spans ED, inpatient, and outpatient areas with a variety of diagnoses
- 12-hour night shifts, Thursday through Saturday, 9:00 PM to 9:00 AM (36 hours/week)
- This is a weekend position — candidate will work all weekends
- Schedule cycles every 4 weeks
- Holiday coverage expected, including possible overnight holiday shifts consistent with the assigned shift time
- Epic EMR; Siemens and GE imaging equipment used in the department
- No floating required
Requirements
- Minimum of 12 months of core work experience in CT/Radiology, with most recent experience within the last year
- Active ARRT (R)(CT) certification required
- BLS required
- Active license required, if applicable
- NC State Licensure is not required
- Proficiency across CT and diagnostic radiology modalities
- Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration
- One professional reference dated within the past year, from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN, required for consideration
- Candidates must reside 50+ miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted

- Orientation includes online NEO courses followed by 3–5 days of departmental training depending on modality
- Department is supported by nursing and transport staff, with a team-oriented culture focused on patient-centered care
- Black scrubs required
- Free parking available on-site
- RTO requests require manager approval
- Former employees who held a permanent position at any AHSE facility must have been separated for at least 1 year before being eligible
