Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg position on a 27-bed unit requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and at least 2 completed travel assignments.
Details
- 27-bed medical-surgical inpatient unit
- Patient population is primarily elderly adults, but may include patients as young as 18
- Common diagnoses include post-op orthopedic and general surgery, ETOH, CHF, and pneumonia
- RN-to-patient ratio of 5:1; LNA-to-patient ratio of 3:1
- 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week
- Every other weekend required
- Rotating holiday coverage required
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Telemetry experience preferred
Requirements
- Active NH RN license or Compact RN license required; proof of state residency required for compact license holders
- Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of equivalent Med/Surg RN experience required
- Recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 Trauma experience within the last 2 years required
- Minimum of 2 completed travel assignments required
- Experience with post-surgical drains, central line care and maintenance, and Foley insertion required
- Experience with G-tubes, J-tubes, NG tubes, and PEG tubes required
- Experience with IV medication administration and IV push required
- Experience with wound care and O2 therapy required
- 2 manager references required for consideration

- Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible for this position
- Care provided to a diverse medical-surgical population including post-operative and medically complex inpatients
