Description

American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist with at least 1 year of experience for a 13-week rehabilitation therapy assignment at a healthcare facility in Fall River.

• Rehabilitation therapy setting serving both inpatient and outpatient populations
• Patient population includes pediatric, adolescent, and geriatric patients
• Day shift schedule
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Current, active OT license required (license required if applicable)
• Minimum 1 year of relevant occupational therapy experience
• Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency of occupational therapy modalities and equipment

Additional Information

• Evaluate patients, develop individualized plans of care, and administer OT treatments as prescribed by a referring physician to restore function and prevent disability
• Provide appropriate supervision to OT assistants and aides
• Observe and evaluate patient responses to treatment and communicate recommended plan of care changes to the physician
• Develop patient and family teaching plans based on identified learning needs and evaluate their effectiveness
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and consult other departments to coordinate patient care
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with current departmental standards
• Participate in continuing education programs and in-service training as required by the facility and applicable state/national CEU requirements
