Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a 3rd Floor Surgical Unit position at an acute care hospital in Portsmouth, NH, requiring a minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg experience and an active NH or Compact RN license.

Details

• Position is located on the 3rd Floor Surgical Unit of an acute care hospital in Portsmouth, NH
• 27-bed surgical unit staffed with 5–6 RNs and 2–3 LNAs per shift
• Patient population includes post-operative orthopedic (knees, hips, shoulder, cervical) and bariatric surgery patients
• Patient ratios are 5–6:1
• Equipment used includes Hoyer lifts and CPM machines
• Day shift runs 7:00 AM–7:00 PM; unit coordinator available Monday–Friday on days
• 4 weekend shifts required per 4-week schedule
• Floating to Medical Oncology is required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active NH or Compact RN license must be in hand at time of consideration
• Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience in a hospital setting required
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration — no Canadian SSNs accepted
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Experience in orthopedics or bariatrics is preferred
• Care team includes a Charge RN, staff RNs, LNAs, and a Unit Coordinator (days, Mon–Fri)
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
• One professional reference is required (two required if the candidate is based in Florida or Missouri)
• Any color scrubs are acceptable
