We’re hiring an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a local hospital in St. Louis, MO where you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Associate or bachelor’s degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program.
• Current Missouri Respiratory Care Practitioner License in good standing.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required.
• BLS / BCLS certification required.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience as an RRT. Experience working in ICUs and medical-surgical floors required.
• Willingness to work some holidays and participate in an every-third-weekend rotation.
• Ability to precept respiratory therapy students when requested.
• Candidates must be willing to float within the scope of practice to support ICUs and floors as needed.
• Pending Missouri license accepted.
• Locals within a 75-mile radius will not be accepted.
• Preferred: Active AARC membership and a bachelor’s degree or progress toward a bachelor’s degree.

Assignment Details

• Facility type: Hospital.
• Shift name: Nights.
• Shift schedule: Night, 3x12-hour shifts per week. Shift hours: 18:45–07:15.
• Weekend requirement: Every third weekend.
• Clinician expectations: Work in ICUs and on hospital floors; occasional precepting of students.
• RTO restrictions: No more than 7 days.
• Guaranteed hours: 3 shifts per 13 weeks.
• Open to pending licenses.
