Radiology Technologist Job Details

• Position Type: Travel Radiology Technologist, On-Site

• Shift: Night Shift, 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM (Monday – Friday)
• Shift Duration: 8 hours per shift

Radiology Technologist Qualifications

• Valid General Radiographer certification (ARRT preferred)
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiology Technologist or Rad Tech
• Proficiency in radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations
• Experience with MRI, CT, Dexa, and diagnostic imaging equipment
• Ability to operate and maintain radiology equipment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills in a clinical setting

Radiology Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform standardized radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations using proper patient positioning, identification, and exposure techniques
• Operate and adjust all radiology equipment within the modality, including MRI, CT, and Dexa scanners
• Set up and adjust immobilization and radiation protective equipment and devices
• Assess patient body size, thickness, age, physical condition, and suspected pathology to ensure accurate diagnostic imaging
• Assist physicians with various radiology procedures as needed
• Report equipment malfunctions and coordinate repairs or adjustments
• Maintain accurate records and notations related to radiology procedures
• Participate in Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) procedures
• Support the educational training of radiology students in the department
