Job Description

• Focus on Open Heart, Thoracic, and Cardiovascular procedures.
• Call required for weekend, holiday, and day shifts.

Required Credentials

1. BLS Certification: Must be AHA certified.
2. Nursys Verification: Required within 30 days prior to start.
3. License/Certificate Verification: Current license verification required within 30 days prior to start.
4. Ascension Specialty Exam: Must be completed prior to first assignment and updated every 3 years.
5. Ascension Color Vision: Must be completed prior to start and updated every 3 years.
6. Ascension Core Competencies: Must be completed within a year of start and updated yearly.
7. Ascension EKG Exam: Must be completed with a passing score of at least 80%.
8. Health Statement: Statement of good health or completed physical exam required prior to first assignment.
9. Fit Test: Required for all travelers, preferably completed prior to start.
10. Vaccination Documentation:

    • MMR: Proof of two vaccines or positive IGG titer.
    • Hepatitis B: Documentation of vaccination series completion or declination.
    • Influenza Vaccine: Required during flu season (October 1 - March 31).
    • Varicella: Documented proof of two vaccines or serological evidence of immunity.
    • Tdap: Valid for 10 years from the administered date.
11. 2 Step PPD or IGRA: Required prior to start.
12. Driver's License/State ID: Must not be expired and match the address on file.
