Job Description

• Position: ER Registered Nurse
• Responsibilities:

  • Prescribes and coordinates professional nursing care for assigned patients.
  • Functions independently within the guidelines of accepted nursing practice, medical direction, and hospital policies.
  • Plans, directs, and evaluates total nursing care on a particular shift.
  • Maintains continuity of care and satisfactory relations with other departments.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensure: Current NH RN licensure (Required).
• Experience:

  • Two years of Emergency Department experience (Preferred).
  • Experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR), specifically Allscripts Paragon.
• Certifications:

  • ACLS Certification (Required).
  • PALS Certification (Recommended).
  • Rhythm Recognition or Basic Arrhythmia experience (Required).
  • CEN and TNCC Certification (Preferred).
• Other Requirements:

  • Must be able to read vital signs and provide injections/vaccinations.
  • Must be willing to float without hesitation.

Orientation and Training

• 4 to 6 week orientation with hands-on training.
• Tour of the unit provided during the interview.
