Job Opportunity: CT Technologist (Travel)

Location: Barberton, Ohio
Facility: Barberton Campus, Summa Health

Job Summary

• Operate Computerized Tomography (CT) and Radiologic equipment to produce diagnostic CT scans and radiographs under indirect supervision.
• Ensure timely processing of patient records and procedure results.
• Collaborate with Radiologists to evaluate images and take additional images as needed.
• Assist with invasive procedures as required.
• Perform other duties as skills and training allow.

Minimum Qualifications

Education & Licensure

• Graduate of an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology.
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Licensed as a Radiographer by the State of Ohio.

Experience

• One (1) year of Radiology Technology experience preferred.

Skills & Competencies

• Ability to obtain CT registry within one year of hire.
• Manual dexterity to calibrate and operate equipment, position patients, apply restraining devices, and administer intravenous contrast injections.
• Effective verbal communication with patients, physicians, and hospital staff.
• Ability to lift and position patients safely.
• Completion of training for additional radiology procedures.
• Proficiency with computer and filing systems for patient records.
• CPR certification and ability to initiate CPR.
• Competency in interacting respectfully and effectively with diverse patient populations.

Contract Length

• 12 months

Required Certifications and Health Compliance

• BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA or AHA RQI acceptable.
• ARRT Certification – Must be current and verified.
• License/Certificate Verification – State-specific registry verification required.
• COVID-19 Vaccine – Fully vaccinated required; exemptions considered case-by-case.
• MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) – Proof of immunity or vaccination required; no declinations accepted.
• Fit Test – N95 respirator fit test within one year, updated annually.
• Hepatitis B – Proof of immunity or vaccination required; signed declinations accepted.
• Health Statement – Pre-employment physical within one year confirming ability to perform essential job functions.
• 2 Step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot) – Required with no declinations accepted.
• Varicella – Proof of immunity or vaccination required; no declinations accepted.
• Annual TB Questionnaire – Completed, signed, and dated.
• Summa Competency Exam – Unit-specific competency exam with passing score required annually.
• Summa Skills Checklist – Unit-specific skills checklist completed and updated annually.
• Summa Core Competencies – Includes HIPAA, Joint Commission, OSHA topics; updated annually.
• Drug Screen – Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start, updated annually.
• Criminal Background Check – Comprehensive background check within 90 days of start, updated as needed.
• OIG Search and EPLS – Required within 90 days of start, updated as needed.
• Fingerprint Clearance Attestation – FBI and BCI fingerprint attestations within 12 months of start.
• Social Security Card – Must be provided.
• Influenza Vaccine – Required seasonally (Sept-April); exemptions considered case-by-case.
• Tdap Vaccine – Within 10 years of start; no declinations accepted.

Additional Requirements

• Resume must include 3 years of prior work history, including at least 2 years of clinical practice in an acute care setting similar to the assignment.
• Completion of agency-specific work order confirmation forms upon offer acceptance.
