Description

CVICU Nurse Opportunity

Location: Rock Hill, South Carolina
Employment Type: Long Term Contract (13 weeks)

Shift Details

Shift Time: 12N (1900 - 0730)
Hours per Week: 36
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Call Requirement: None
Float Requirement: As needed within skillset (MICU, SICU, other medical units with max of 4 patients)

Unit: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)
Number of Beds: 8
Nurse to Patient Ratio: 1:1, 2:1, or 3:1 depending on patient acuity
Charting System: Cerner
Scrub Color: Navy Blue

Required Certifications

BLS (Basic Life Support)
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)

Common Diagnoses and Treatments

Open heart surgery
Neurosurgery
Vascular surgery
Trauma
Overflow medical patients

Special Procedures

Chest tube management
Swan-Ganz catheter
Temporary pacemakers
Cordis catheters
Cardiac continuous output monitoring
JP drains
Central lines
Arterial lines
Tracheostomy care
PEG and G/J tube care

Additional Notes

Previous travel nursing experience preferred
Float support areas include MICU, SICU, and other medical units with a maximum of 4 patients per nurse
