Description

Job Opportunity: RN - Med Surg (Transitional Care – LTC/SNF)

Location: Portland, Maine
Employment Type: Travel

Position Details

Specialty: Transitional Care – LTC/SNF
Shift: Nights
Schedule: Every other weekend required
Weekly Hours: 36 acceptable, 48 preferred
Call Requirements: None
Float Requirements: May float based on skillset
Patient Ratio: 1:8 max
Unit Beds: 46
EMR System: Epic
Equipment Used: Specialty beds, Philips monitors, overhead lifts, bladder scanner, various mobility aids

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maine
Minimum 1 year of Med Surg experience within the last year
Experience in Med Surg and Telemetry
Experience in an Acute Care setting
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Unit & Patient Information

Patient mix includes medical and surgical patients medically ready for discharge
Emphasis on patient-centered care, teamwork, communication, punctuality, and reliability

Dress Code

Scrubs: Any color, fragrance-free
Unacceptable attire: Artificial nails, hoodies, graphic t-shirts, open-toed shoes, and any unprofessional dress or grooming
