Description

Title : Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics - RRT
Location : Saint Joseph, MO 64506
Duration : 13 weeks
Shift : Night 3x12-Hour (18:00 - 06:30), Night 4x12-Hour (18:00 - 06:30)

Job Description
Respiratory Therapist
Shift: Alternating 3 or 4 x 12-hour night shifts (6:00 PM – 6:30 AM)
Required Certifications:

Experience Required:

Minimum 1 year of experience
First-time travelers accepted (experienced travelers preferred as there are no other RRTs on the unit)

Schedule Requirements:

Every other weekend required (6 weekend shifts per contract)
Potential floating required to the Medical Center Unit
Self-scheduling available
Locals accepted at a lower rate (within a 50-mile radius)
RTO restriction: Maximum 2 requests per contract

Patient Population / Unit Details
Candidates will work with a wide variety of respiratory diagnoses, including but not limited to:

Pulmonary Fibrosis
COVID-19
Influenza
Rhinovirus
Cystic Fibrosis
COPD
Respiratory Failure

Special Procedures

Bronchoscopy
Ventilator weaning
Tracheostomy suctioning and care
Thoracentesis

Special Equipment

Airvo
Servo-u ventilators
Intrapulmonary Percussive Ventilator (IPV)
Standard ventilators
