Description

Location: San Diego, CA
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Pay: $2,050/week (~$51.25/hour based on 40 hours)

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to provide diagnostic imaging services in a correctional healthcare setting. This role includes performing X-ray procedures, supporting advanced imaging when applicable, and ensuring high-quality patient care while maintaining safety and compliance standards.

Qualifications
Minimum of 12 months of recent experience (within the last 3 years) in a similar setting
Active California Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) license (required)
Venipuncture certification (required)
Fluoroscopy permit (if applicable to role)
Additional modality certifications (Mammography, CT, MRI) preferred
Current BLS/CPR certification
Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
Key Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic X-ray imaging and ensure proper image quality
Follow established imaging protocols and safety standards
Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures
Review images for clarity, positioning, and accuracy before submission
Accurately label and document imaging studies
Operate and maintain radiology equipment in safe working condition
Assist providers with special imaging procedures when needed
Respond to urgent or bedside imaging requests
Maintain accurate and timely records in RIS/PACS systems
Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards, including ALARA principles
Maintain adequate supplies and ensure readiness for procedures
Additional Responsibilities
Provide patient care and ensure comfort during procedures
Monitor for and respond to any adverse reactions (e.g., contrast media)
Maintain a professional and collaborative work environment
Follow infection control and safety protocols
Requirements
Compliance with respiratory protection standards (N95/PAPR clearance if applicable)
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work in a structured, secure environment
