Overview

St. Luke's Health System has exciting part-time opportunities for Credentialed Medical Assistants (CMA) to join our team.

 

The CMA is responsible for assisting in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a provider and/or physician. The CMAs prepare treatment rooms for examination of patients including sterilization, cleaning, and checks on medical equipment. A CMA prepares basic laboratory tests on premises and prepares laboratory specimens, as well as entering diagnostic or medication orders under the direction of a Licensed Independent Provider (LIP).

 

Required Criteria 

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent

        Graduation from a School of Technology for Medical Assistants

Certifications:

Current recognized National Certification as a Medical Assistant

                                    NCCT            NAHP             AMT  

                                    AAMA             AMCA            NHA

American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Provider certification 

 

 

About the Ambulatory Clinic Ahead Program (ACAP):

The Ambulatory Clinic Ahead Program is an exciting opportunity for CMAs to receive standardized training and the opportunity to rotate through clinics to find permanent placement in a Magic Valley clinic that is an ideal fit. Your Magic Valley work location will vary based on clinic staffing needs.

Highlights:

An opportunity for both experienced and new CMAs to explore a wide variety of employment options within St. Luke’s ambulatory clinics

An opportunity to be placed in clinic location and/or field of your choice 

Continuing education and training opportunities for new CMAs

Introduction to a variety of clinics with areas of expertise:

Family Health

Internal Medicine

Specialty (Pediatrics, Urology, Rheumatology, Cardiology, etc.)  

Shift/Schedule:

Part-time positions available.

Must be flexible to work occasional weekend and holidays as needed
