Description
St. Luke’s Health System in Meridian is seeking a Nurse Navigator to join our Diagnostic Breast Imaging Center team.
Monday - Friday, variable days - 20 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Serves as a single point of contact for patients undergoing treatment,.
- Serves as a liaison between the patient and their family and the patient's network of care providers.
- Educates patient on diagnosis, treatment options, and prognosis.
- Assists the patient in scheduling appointments, completing paperwork, or securing referrals.
- Facilitates short term and/or long term interventions.
- Possesses comprehensive knowledge of subject matter.
- Handles complex issues and problems, and refers only the most complex issues to higher-level staff.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Education: Bachelors of Nursing Degree
- Experience: 2 years’s of RN experience
- Licenses/Certifications: Current RN License in the State of Practice
Preferred Qualifications:
- Breast Cancer/Oncology experience is ideal.
- Familar with EPIC.
