CRISIS PROTOCOL AND AUTO OFFER***** Radius Rule: 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity. **Driver's license required at submittal and will be used to determine if candidate is outside 50 miles.** **Fingernail policy: Artificial nails are prohibited in all departments providing patient care- refusal to remove nails will lead to termination of contract * * RN's - Pass/Fail exam on Friday during orientation. OPEN BOOK exam on skills learned - they are given all necessary resources to pass. Must receive a 90% to pass or they will be terminated * * This shift (8:30-7pm M-Th) requires some charge responsibilities to be fulfilled after hours (3-7p / 5-7p) 10hr shifts yes, 12hr shifts-no. On lower volume days or if cases finish up in the CV OR, they may be asked to float to the Main OR, which is expected of all team members, not just travelers. Do you know the average # of surgeries for the CVOR per day and # of Drs? : By day, the range is 1–9, depending on volume and surgeons. Average number of cases per week is between 25-30. Currently there are three cardiac surgeons and three vascular surgeons. When fully staffed, we can support three OR rooms daily. Typically we operate between 2-3 ORs daily but as we grow, we have the capacity to utilize all 4 ORs in the CV OR. How many techs do they have? 2. We also have 2 nurses who are utilized to scrub due to our limited capacity with techs. The true need is 5 8s if the candidate is able, but I can be flexible with the schedule to support 4 10-hour shifts when we can accommodate, especially if candidates are willing or able to float to the Main OR. , I currently have 2 RNs that can scrub so it's not an absolute requirement for an RN to be able to scrub and circulate. If the RNs have strong CV experience and can only circulate, we'll accept these candidates. Regarding the call: last month only 5% of our cases were performed on the weekend (emergencies). The remaining 95% of procedures were performed during weekdays, and 18% of cases performed last month were emergent. The number of call ins varies based on the number of call shifts staff take. Some team members enjoy taking call, and others do not but increasing our staffing decreases the total number of call shifts per individual. Call Requirements Besides week-end call there would be some call Monday thru Thursday. Maybe one shift if they were on the week-end and of not on the week-end maybe two shifts Monday thru Thursday. Weekend Requirements (call as well) No week-end shifts only call coverage. Staff go on call at 3:00 PM on Friday and are on call thru Monday at 6:30 AM. traveler they would be on call every other week-end. Unit: BMMC CVOR Rate: Skill: RN Start Date: ASAP Length of Assignment: 13 Weeks Shift: Experience: Will scrub and circulate in the cardiovascular operating room that performs all open heart and vascular procedures. Vascular procedures are both open and percutaneous. Assist anesthesia with induction, transport patients from pre-op area to PACU or Inpatient unit. Experience with open heart strongly preferred. Familiarity with a hybrid operating suite beneficial. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, CNOR preferred Dress Code: Navy Blue Scrubs
